Rotational Shift Device (RSD)

The Rotational Shift Device (RSD) is a high performance transfer device that provides for the change of direction for the Supply System Carts (SSC) of a side by side configured PowerStage® system.  Each SSC handles a single pallet at a time and follows the track system in its operation of moving a pallet from one input or output position to any other input or output position on the PowerTrack®.  At the end of each track system the SSC is required to change direction which is accomplished by the RSD.Rotational Shift Device

Features:

  • High Performance – two SSC carts handled at a time
  • Capacity to move two fully loaded SSC carts
  • Controlled by PASWare® - Standard
  • Low Maintenance Drive System
  • Low Energy Utilization
  • Continuous AC Powered
  • Can be manually operated if power fails
  • Allows for a more compact design than a continuous loop system

Operation:

  • While in the home position an SSC cart is directed by PASWare™ to travel onto the RSD.
  • The RSD then rapidly rotates 180º which repositions the SSC to the parallel track of the side by side PowerStage system.
  • Once in the new home position, PASWare™ will command the SSC cart to travel off the RSD and move to it’s next required pickup or deposit destination
  • NOTE:  While one SSC cart is traveling onto the RSD, a second SSC cart can be traveling off the RSD, thus doubling the capacity of a single RSD operation.
