Rodney Tipton, President
Rodney Tipton joined California Natural Products (the parent of
Power Automation Systems) in 2001. As Executive Vice President,
Mr. Tipton structured an organization that emphasizes quality
assurance, product safety and customer satisfaction.
Rodney has over 30 years of experience with packaging
automation, notably including 15 years as technical director of
aseptic packaging for Tetra Pak, Inc. There he led a team of 75
employees responsible for North American Product Development,
Technical & Customer Services and global customer satisfaction
initiatives.
Rodney took the exciting role of President of Power Automation
Systems (PAS) in 2005 where he developed and built in
partnership with Pat Mitchell, the owner and Founder of CNP, the
first PowerStor automated storage and retrieval system.
Rodney is the holder of two patents and has an Executive
Education from the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Hank Schmitt, Vice President of Operations
Hank Schmitt joined Power Automation Systems in 2008 as Vice
President of Operations, responsible for the Engineering,
Fabrication and Project Management.
Hank has over 40 years of experience in a wide array of production,
automation and construction environments. Most recently, Hank
was the Regional Director for Tetra Pak, where he was responsible for the
sales, project implementation and after-market support and had
21 Market Company managers reporting to him. Hank was with Tetra
Pak for 20 years during which he held positions in the areas of
Project Management, Vice President of Engineering, North America
and spent eight years as Director of Business
Development for Region Asia and Americas with annual sales of
$200 to $500 million per year.
Hank held his first engineering position with Lockheed Aircraft
Company working in flight test on the C5A, C-141 and C-130
aircraft programs, specializing on AC/DC Power Systems, Flight
Controls and Landing Gear Controls.
Hank holds patents in the sanitary processing equipment, B.S.
Industrial Engineering and an Honorable Discharge from the U.S.
Air Force 57th Weather Reconnaissance.
Cory Hypes, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Cory is 20-year veteran of the material handling industry with
experience successfully completing thousands of projects worth
over $300M. Cory is responsible for
the global expansion of Power Automation Systems products and
services. Based out of the new Midwest Office, Cory brings the
passion and knowledge to assist our customers in meeting their
business goals.
Cory started his career with Rapistan (now Dematic) with
increasing responsibility over 14 years, from Salesman to
District Manager to Business Development Manager. While at
Rapistan (Siemens/Dematic), Cory started multiple sales offices
and led several initiatives to grow new markets, most notably
Assembly Systems for Manufacturers and Robotic Palletizing
Solutions for Food and Beverage customers.
In
2006 Cory joined Intelligrated as Vice President of the Midwest
Operations, that he started, and had P&L responsibility for.
Cory and his team had great success with Intelligrated, growing
the Midwest Operations into a profitable material handling
business serving dozens of customers with many being loyal to
the service and support given by Cory and his team.
Cory is a graduate of Providence College of Providence, Rhode
Island with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
with a major in finance. |
