What is RSS?

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and sometimes content to a wide number of people. It is used by computer programs that organize those headlines and notices for easy reading.

RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with web sites in an automated manner that can be piped into special programs or filtered displays. The benefit of RSS is the aggregation of content from multiple Web sources in one place. RSS content can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader" or an "aggregator", which can be web-based or desktop-based.

So, how can I subscribe to the PAS news feed?

Easy. First, check to see if your internet browswer or your version of Microsoft Outlook (2007 version or later) has RSS reading capabilities already built in. If you are using a desktop sidebar widget, you can also enable a RSS widget in the sidebar's "Settings" panel. If not, grab one of these free, easy RSS reading tools to begin collecting RSS feeds. We recommend Google Reader for web-based RSS collection and Feed Demon as a desktop RSS reading solution.
