PowerStor™ is a pallet handling technology that provides the capability for storing and staging large quantities of any size pallet, in a small space (high density) and moves those pallets at very high speed (high throughput).

Our PowerStor™ system is comprised of simple components that provide the highest density storage and highest throughput capability in the world, yet are not complicated to operate day in, day out. PowerStor™ is highly flexible in its configuration options and can handle multiple pallet sizes (W, L, H) at the same time.

Operation Description

Store:

A pallet arrives via conveyor at the VTU (Vertical Transfer Unit) pick-up position.  Under the direction of the PowerWCS, the VTU is directed to pick the pallet off the conveyor and transfer it to the correct level of storage and places it on a Pick Up & Deposit Station (PDS). PowerWCS™ then directs the ARC (Aisle/Row Cart pair) to pick the pallet off the PDS and transport it to the correct row of rack for storage.  Once at the correct row of storage, the row cart is directed to leave the aisle cart and transport the pallet to the correct position in the row, where the pallet is set down on the row rails and the Row Cart returns to the Aisle Cart for the next operation.

Retrieve:

PowerWCS directs that ARC (Aisle/Row Cart pair) to the correct row of storage.  Once correctly positions, the Row Cart moves into the row under the pallet being retrieved.  The Row Cart lifts the pallet off the row rails and returns to the Aisle Cart.  The ARC pair then moves to the PDS stand where the pallet is deposited onto the stand.  The ARC pair is then ready for the next operation.
