PowerWCS™ Applied to PowerStor™

PowerWCS is the warehouse control system (WCS) software that drives the function and performance of PAS’s automated pallet handling technologies. Designed with high performance and reliability in mind PAS PowerWCS incorporates a flexible .Net framework with an SQL database that can be used in conjunction with our customers’ existing inventory tracking systems to allow for easy, efficient use of PAS systems.

PowerWCS uses a combination of PC (Personal Computer) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) technologies in providing total control of both system components and higher level inventory and data-base driven functions.

• PC’s provide inventory and business level functions; communicate instructions and receive status back from the PLCs;  and communicate with the customers business systems to coordinate functional performance within the facility.
• PLC’s control the equipment components to insure proper and best performance of individual components as well as the overall system. 

PowerWCS can stand-a-lone or be connected to the customer’s business computer system to coordinate functional requirements in optimizing business operations.

The operator consoles are simple to use and easy to understand in controlling the various operations, normal and error recovery, within a PowerStor system.  The graphic user interface has been custom designed to ensure that it functions intuitively.
